Lately I've been interested in this messy, gestural way of drawing. I suppose you could call it abstract expressionist, but that just dates it and labels it as irrelevant. I don't know. It's almost a form of meditation to render the essence of something without worrying about its finite details. It's been done, the ideas are probably cliche, but I can't ignore the fact that it's gratifying as hell.

...and there's also the fact that I don't care.
